Agustín Della Corte Scores From 95 meters Out vs Chile

There is little doubt as to what try was the best from the opening round of the 2019 Sudamérica 6 Naciones A. That accolade goes to the score by Agustín Della Corte from 95 meters out vs Chile. Not only was it a sensational long-range score but it was also a match winner. It put the Uruguay XV in a position from which they were out of reach from Chile in the final minutes.

Played at the Old Grangonian Club in Santiago del Chile, the Uruguay XV were 39-32 winners. Della Corte’s score confirmed the win and came from an impressive run from fellow center Alfonso Costa.

Both Della Corte and Costa are wider roster options for Uruguay. In other words they are genuine Uruguay XV players. The former has one test start which came against Brazil in this year’s Americas Rugby Championship. The latter is uncapped and played for Uruguay in the 2018 Junior World Trophy.
