Paula Ishibashi Elected Best Athlete by Brazilian Olympic Committee

Brazilian women’s rugby player Paula Ishibashi has won the prestigious award as best Rugby Player of 2015, as determined by the Comitê Olímpico do Brasil (Brazilian Olympic Committee – COB).

Ishibashi plays for São Paulo club side SPAC and is considered as being one of her country’s best players. She was a medalist at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto and 2015 marks her second time as winning the player of the year award after she previously did so in 2012.

The official award will be given to Ishibashi on December 15 at the Teatro Bradesco in Rio de Janeiro.
