MLR Full Match – Toronto Arrows vs San Diego Legion

Two teams gunning for Major League Rugby playoff berths collided at Lamport Stadium in downtown Toronto on Sunday. It was the first time the Arrows had played at the venue, with the league-leading San Diego Legion their esteemed opponents in front of 3,000 partisan fans.

Toronto handed Patrick Parfrey his first MLR start after the late withdrawal of Guiseppe du Toit, with Uruguayan pair Gaston Mieres and Leandro Leivas featuring strongly. San Diego were missing second row Louis Stanfill but otherwise had a full compliment of Eagles backs to attack with.
