Women’s Eagles aiming for Kitakyushu win

The USA was victory on their mind after sending a strong Women’s Eagles side to compete at the Kitakyushu Sevens tournament. Entering the tournament in 2nd place overall, the team will be lead once again by co-captains Nicole Heavirland and Lauren Doyle.

With three tournaments to play on the 2018-19 HSBC Sevens Series, the Eagles hold a 16-point lead over 5th-place France. The top four teams at the season’s end will earn direct qualification for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The two-day tournament begins on Saturday, April 20 local time, late Friday evening North American time. Competing against the USA in Pool C will be Ireland, Fiji, and England.
