Highlights: RWC 1987 Final

Tournament hosts New Zealand took-on France in the 1987 RWC Final. The fixture was the deciding match of the inaugural Rugby World Cup. It would be the first of two RWC Finals between the All Blacks and Les Bleus at Auckland’s Eden Park.

With it being the first ever RWC Final the video is a must watch for all rugby fans, both for the addicts and and casual supporters alike.

Involved in the final were World Rugby Hall of Famers David Kirk, Sean Fitzpatrick, Grant Fox, Michael Jones, John Kirwan (New Zealand); and Serge Blanco, Phillipe Sella (France).  New Zealand were coached by another World Rugby Hall of Famer – Brian Lochore.

Of the two French RWC Final players to have been inducted into the Hall of Fame one was born in the Americas. Fullback Serge Blanco is a native of Venezuela.
