The Lions played host to Los Jaguares in an entertaining attacking match earlier today. Thirteen tries were scored in all with the hosts outscoring the visitors by seven tries to six. The match was the first of two games for the Argentine side in South Africa on the current tour.
In failing to win the match Los Jaguares now have a 2-2 record in the 2019 season. They will be looking to turn things around next weekend when they take-on the Stormers.
Head Coach Gonzalo Quesada fielded a side today with 11 changes. A side far closer to that from the prior rounds of the competition is expected to be picked to face the Stormers. Of those given opportunities today it was a mixed bag. Rodrigo Bruni, and Julian Montoya impressed while Sebastián Cancelliere, Martín Landajo, and Juan Pablo Zeiss were outplayed.
