Chile’s 12 players have been confirmed for the upcoming Seven Punta competition. Taking place on January 05-06 in Punta del Este, Uruguay the event will be the first of two legs of the 2019 Sudamérica Sevens circuit. Chile will host the second in Viña del Mar on the following weekend.
The Seven Punta will have twelve competing countries and is to be divided into three pool of four. Chile will compete in Pool A against the USA, Germany, and Paraguay.
In the 2018 Seven Punta Chile finished runners-up, losing to champions South Africa in the final. Getting the the final included completing a Semi Final victory over hosts Uruguay.
Of the 12 Cóndores who competed in the 2018 Punta Seven there are seven returnees for 2019 – Julio Blanc, Felipe Brangier, Benjamín de Vidts, Ignacio Silva, Francisco Urroz, Pedro Verschae, and Lucas Westcott.
