Match Highlights – Chile vs Māori All Blacks

Chile’s record-breaking home supporters were not enough to achieve a positive result today. Los Cóndores were outmatched as the Tier 3 team was up against a Tier 1 side, comparable in level to that of Fiji.

While the result was not desired the occasion was highly successful. It was an instance of successful marketing and a profit being made by Chile, South America’s 4th ranked team.

The Māori All Blacks are professional players, while Chile’s are yet to achieve such status. Moreover Chile was without leading players who do play professional rugby. There were multiple players on display for the Māori All Blacks who may yet be in the frame for RWC 2019.
