Pro D2 – Week 12 Preview

The Pro D2 rolls on with week 12 taking place over the coming days. France’s second division is to see a full round of matches spread from Thursday through Sunday. It is business as usual despite the November Internationals being into overdrive. The following preview documents the involvement from the Americas.

The opening fixture sees Béziers at home against Bayonne. Chilean Ramón Ayarza will start for Bayonne at loose head while Argentine Martín Bustos Moyano will do so from fullback.

Vannes have named Javier Lagioiosa in their starting line-up for their home match against Montauban. A win for the home side will further complicate the rough start to the season for Montauban.

With 19 points Montauban are just one spot above relegation. Cololmiers are another team performers well below their standards. They host Nevers on Friday, doing so with Sebastián Poet at fly half and Agustín Costa Repetto at hooker. Martín Chiappesoni has been named as a replacement.

The 15th placed Bourg en Bresse need a home win on Friday. They have named Argentine Victor Damian Arias to start at tight head prop against Charente. Chilean Pablo Huete will start in the second-row for the visitors.

Named to start at loose head prop away to Aurillac is Jerónimo Negrotto. His club, Mont de Marsan lead the Pro D2. Agustín Ormaechea will feature from the bench, doing so the day before Uruguay face Fiji in England.

Down in Basque Country Biarritz take-on Carcassonne. The visitors have named Argentine second-rower Damian Panizzo on their bench.

Completing week 12 will be Brive against Oyonnax on Sunday. Line-up’s for the fixture will not be announcemed until Saturday afternoon.
