Kenya played an exhibition fixture against Romania ‘A’ at Ghencea Stadium in Bucharest on Saturday. The final score read 36-5 in favor of the home side. For the Simbas this was their final run-out ahead of the Repechage series against Canada, Hong Kong, and Germany that begins in Marseille on Sunday.
While the result did not go as they would have liked, it did give head coach Ian Snook an opportunity to test all 30 members of his squad in difficult conditions. Romania also extended an offer to Kenya to train together following the match, with the scrum in particular an area that Kenya will hope to improve in the coming days.
