Titi set for Premiership debut

Titi Lamositele has been named on the bench for Saracens as the Aviva Premiership club hosts Sale Sharks in their season opener at Allianz Park on Saturday. The US Eagles prop fills in for Juan Figallo as reserve tighthead after the Argentine was called up to the Pumas’ World Cup squad this week. Lamositele is in his second year with Saracens and appeared in one previous senior fixture last season, coming on as a replacement against Exeter in the Anglo-Welsh Cup.

Saracens also have American skipper Chris Wyles and second row Hayden Smith on their books, though they have not been named in the match day roster. Thretton Palamo has been loaned to London Welsh for the season, while Argentines Figallo and Marcelo Bosch are currently away on World Cup duty.

Sale’s Canadian winger Phil Mackenzie is not in their lineup. His contract was extended despite spending much of last season on the injury list and appearing in only three Anglo-Welsh games during the 2014/15 campaign. This will be Mackenzie’s third season with Sale after moving from London Welsh.
