Fessal, Rosales named top players at RAN 7s

Following their team victories at the Rugby Americas North Sevens in Barbados on the weekend, Jamaica powerhouse Dyneal Fessal and Mexico captain Daniela Rosales have been earned Most Valuable Player honors in their respective divisions. The two were confirmed as RAN made their Dream Team selections public on Wednesday.

Joining Fessal in the select side are two of his teammates, playmaker Marcus Webber and 18-year-old speedster Mikel Facey. Bermuda forward Aldo Campbell is named as is Wesly Chery from Turks & Caicos. Mexico’s Rodrigo Ripoll is named in the backs with Guyana winger Avery Corbin rounding out the side.

Rosales headlines the women’s team that also includes former Mexico skipper Michelle Farah and Germany-based Brenda Weinel. Trinidad & Tobago captain Nicolette Pantor makes the grade as does veteran goal kicker Juliana Straker. St. Lucia’s top scorer Kameka President earns selection as does Denisse Zambón Regalado of the Dominican Republic.
