Peru Confirmed for Sudamérica 4 Naciones ‘B’

Peru has confirmed its roster for the Sudamérica 4 Naciones ‘B’. The rebranded competition is the new South American B Championship with Peru and Venezuela being joined, this year, by the Central American republics of Costa Rica, and Guatemala. The tournament will be played in Guatemala City from September 27 to October 07.

All four countries will play each other and there are to be three match days. No team will have more rest days than another though the timeframe is to be highly demanding with matches taking place on September 27, October 03 and October 07.

Peru will open their campaign against Guatemala. They will go into the match as favorites based on history and Americas Rankings. Game two for Peru will be against Costa Rica who, like Guatemala, will be an historic fixture. Peru will close their tournament against Venezuela with the winner expecting to be crowned tournament champions.

For Peru the Sudamérica 4 Naciones ‘B’ is to be the first test match in eleven months. In 2017 Peru fell to a 33-21 defeat against Venezuela, and a 50-3 loss against Colombia.
