The Greene King IPA Championship enters its fourth round this weekend with three matches each on Saturday and Sunday. A number of Americas players are conspicuously absent but there are still nine internationals set to take the field.
Two Eagles second rows will go head-to-head in the lineout at Castle Park on Saturday. Doncaster will have Nick Civetta as their primary jumper. On the Ealing side is Ben Landry, a familiar face with the two often packing down together for the USA. Andrew Durutalo will act as an impact sub this week.
All three of Sunday’s games feature North Americans. Brett Beukeboom leads the undefeated Cornish Pirates against Richmond, who have named Ronnie McLean in his usual No12 shirt. That match will be streamed live on Facebook.
There is no place for Ciaran Hearn in the London Irish side as Bryce Campbell is instead switched to the bench. Former Wasps midfielder Brendan Macken takes Campbell’s spot in the Exiles midfield. Justin Blanchet is another Canadian absentee, left out of the Bedford lineup.
Three Canucks are set to duke it out at Headingley. Yorkshire Carnegie will start Jake Ilnicki at tighthead prop and Dan Moor on the left wing. Shane O’Leary starts his fourth consecutive match for Nottingham at flyhalf. All three have enjoyed strong starts at their new clubs.
