Cordero Stars as Exeter Chiefs Down Wasps in Coventry

Two rounds into the English Premiership season and Santiago Cordero is in fine form. The Argentine outside back stared for the Exeter Chiefs who downed the Wasps in Coventry on Saturday.

Exeter’s 42-31 victory follows their opening round demolition victory over the Leicester Tigers. The combined results see the south-west England club sending out an early warning message of their credentials this season.

Cordero is into his second season with Exeter. He joined the club in January from Los Jaguares, a move which saw him ending his Super Rugby career to instead play in the English Premiership. In his first season he would win the Anglo-Welsh Cup.

This past Saturday against the Wasps, Cordero scored the opening try for the Exeter Chiefs. From 25 meters out the Buenos Aires speedster stepped infield to get between Gaby Lovobalavu and Josh Bassett to score.

Next weekend will see the Exeter Chiefs playing at home. At Sandy Park they will play host to the Sale Sharks on Saturday.
