Women’s Eagles star Naya Tapper has been selected to the official Rugby World Cup Sevens Dream Team. The powerful winger scored seven tries in four matches, two each in the last three. Only New Zealand’s Michaela Blyde went better with nine tries including two hat-tricks.
Blyde is one of three from the Championship Final winners to make the team. Captain Sarah Goss and fellow forward Portia Woodman were each named. Rounding out the forwards is Anne-Cécile Ciofani, named despite being a replacement in all four matches for France. Fellow finalist Lina Guérin is named in the backs along with Australia playmaker Evania Pelite.
