USA South Crowned 2018 Women’s 10’s Champions

The USA South have been crowned the 2018 Women’s 10’s Champions. They did so by building on their Day One victories to win as deserved champions.

Played over two days in Mexico City, the 2018 Women’s 10’s were a part of the Rugby Americas North (RAN) Super Week. The tournament involves both Women’s and Men’s activity with the Men’s U19’s concluding on Saturday.

The USA South faced Jamaica in the 2018 Women’s 10’s Final. The match itself was the second between the teams for the day. Their first class saw the USA South dominating Jamaica to win 45-05. In the final ,though, a much closer match saw the USA South winning by one score, 19-12.

Third place went to Mexico who downed the Bahamas 26-0. The two countries had also met earlier in the day, this time with the Bahamas being more competitive. Mexico would win the match 14-07.

The 2018 RAN Super Week continues today. It will conclude with the final two matches in the Men’s U19s’s. Having been undefeated on match Day One and match Day Two, Mexico and the USA South meet in the Final. Before then the Bronze Final will see Jamaica and the Cayman Islands meeting.
