u20 Championship Highlights – Argentina vs Scotland

Day two of the 2018 World Rugby U20’s Championship took place today in France. Coming off an opening defeat against England Argentina needed a win against Scotland to keep their hopes alive of advancing to the Semi Finals.

Los Pumitas played good rugby against Scotland. In the opening half the South Americans were firmly on top. The scoresheet did not represent the extent of Argentina’s superiority.

It mattered not as in the second half Los Pumitas scored two tries to zero to complete a 29-13 victory. This came after Scotland had been the better side in the third quarter of the match.

Not only did Argentina secure victory over Scotland but they did so with a bonus point. It was the ideal result for the South Americans. Their remaining pool match is against Italy. With another win and other results working in Argentina’s favor Los Pumitas may yet make it to the final four.
