Big Names in Argentina XV Roster for Nations Cup

Big names have been included in the Argentina XV roster for the Nations Cup. The upcoming competition in Uruguay will see Argentina’s official ‘A’ side being notably stronger to that which played in the recent Sudamericano 6 Naciones A.

Felipe Contepomi’s roster of 28 players will begin training on Monday in Buenos Aires. In the Nations Cup they will face Emerging Italy on June 02, the Uruguay XV on June 06 and the Fiji Warriors on June 10. With the Estadio Charrúa being upgraded at present all matches will be played at Parque Artigas in Paysandú.

Contepomi’s Argentina XV roster includes big names from Los Jaguares. Tomás Cubelli, Juan Manuel Leguizamón and Matías Moroni were all named in Argentina’s roster yesterday to face Wales and Scotland. Yet the trio are to all be involved in the Nations Cup.

Also traveling to Uruguay are additional players with Jaguares experience – Joaquín Díaz Bonilla, Ignacio Larrague, Benjamín Macome, and Manuel Montero.

There are also first opportunities for three players. Agustín Maceiras, Marco Ciccioli, and Tomás Jorge are set to make their first appearances for the Argentina XV.
