Two Pumas Feature in Anglo-Welsh Cup Final

Two Pumas are to feature in the Anglo-Welsh Cup Final. Taking place on Friday in Gloucester, the Exeter Chiefs and Bath will meet with the winner being crowned champion.

The two players are Santiago Cordero and Lucas Noguera Paz. Both played for Argentina in 2017 and were involved in the country’s campaign at RWC 2015. They are expected to feature for Los Pumas again this year as part of the new policy which permits European-Based players in to the team.

In the Anglo-Welsh Cup Final Cordero will start at fullback. The position is his natural one but he has been a winger throughout his test career for Argentina and also in Super Rugby for Los Jaguares. The presence of Joaquín Tuculet being the reasoning behind this.

Noguera Paz was the primary starter for Argentina at Loose Head in both 2016 and 2017. He was among the replacements for the November tour in 2017 with Santiago García Botta instead starting. For the final on Friday he will feature as a replacement for Bath.
