Jaco Peyper To Officiate Stormers vs Jaguares

Jaco Peyper is to officiate Stormers vs Jaguares. The teams are to meet this coming Saturday in the opening round of the 2018 Super Rugby season. Their match will take place at Newlands Stadium in Cape Town.

The appointment of Peyper means that Los Jaguares will not have an official from a neutral country refereeing their season opener.

The opening round of Super Rugby has just two matches. Both fixtures are from the South African conference. In addition to the Stormers hosting Los Jaguares the Lions will have home advantages against the Sharks.

In week two the Lions are to host Los Jaguares. That round will see normality taking shape as there are to be seven Super Rugby fixtures.

Jaco Peyper is South Africa’s leading official. He is to be joined by two other South African referees for the match – Marius van der Westhuizen y Egos Seconds.
