Eric Fry to Remain in France Until 2020

Eric Fry is to remain in France until 2020. The USA Eagles prop has extended his contract with Vannes to continue playing for the Pro D2 side for an additional two years.

The 30-year-old Californian has been playing for Vannes since 2016. It is his second French club after he previously played for Saint Nazaire.

Currently out with injury, Fry was playing with regularity for Vannes until being sidelined in November. His injury ruled him out of playing for the USA Eagles in the November Internationals.

He has earned 41 test caps thus far for the USA. These including playing in four matches in Rugby World Cups. He was a part of the Eagles efforts at both RWC 2011 and 2015. A third RWC is now a possibility and him having secured his playing future in France will ensure he is exposed to a high level of rugby.
