Aviva Premiership – Week 14 Preview

The Aviva Premiership returns this weekend. It does so for what is to be the Week 14 of the 2017-2018 season. A full round of matches are being played despite this weekend also seeing a full round of rugby being played in the Six Nations. Below is a preview covering Americas’ involvement. Heavily represented is Argentina with RWC 2015 players appearing in numerous matches.

Week 14 get’s underway today. The round’s single Friday fixture sees Bath at home against the Northampton Saints. Named to start for the home side is Lucas Noguera Paz. He will pack-down at Loose Head.

Noguera Paz joined Bath in December. In January Santiago Cordero joined the Exeter Chiefs. Cordero was thrust straight into the team, debuting in the Anglo-Welsh Cup. He is now to make his Aviva Premiership debut, doing so in the shirt once dominated by Gonzalo Camacho. His Premiership debut will be against the Worcester Warriors.

A classic from years gone by will be played out on Saturday. Gloucester have home advantage against Leicester but neither side is the force of old. Looking to improve the season for Gloucester is Puma Mariano Galarza. He starts in the second-row. Joe Taufete’e misses out as he is playing for the USA vs Canada in the ARC this weekend.

Former USA captain Chris Wyles will return at the end of the season. He will start for Saracens on the left wing on Saturday. Also involved are to be Marcelo Bosch, who will play outside center, and Juan Figallo who will feature as a replacement. Titi Lamositele is in California on international duty.

Saracens host the Newcastle Falcons. The northerners welcome back Evan Olmstead from Canada’s unsuccessful RWC qualifiers campaign against Uruguay. Olmstead will feature as a replacement. The same is true of Santiago Socino who will be covering hooker from the bench. His brother, Juan Pablo Socino starts at inside center.
