Massive changes have been made by the Argentina XV to Face Chile. The teams meet at the bottom of the world on Saturday in a second round match in the Americas Rugby Championship (ARC). Both teams are looking for their first win after Chile fell to Brazil and the Argentina XV were outmatched by the USA.
The roster to face Chile features 26 players. The team will travel south to Ushuaia tomorrow to prepare for the battle of the Andes in Tierra del Fuego.
The fixture will take place at the Estadio municipal Agustín Pichot, with kick-off scheduled for 5:40pm. The venue is the world’s southern most city to have ever hosted an international rugby match. It did so in the 2017 ARC with the Argentina XV recording the largest win thus far in the brief history of the ARC.
Personal changes to the player roster from Los Angeles see Tomás de la Vega, Gregorio del Prete, Julián Domínguez, Franco Molina, Santiago Resino, Mariano Romanini, Nicolás Sbrocco, Tomás Videla and Axel Zapata included.
Left out for the match are captain Lautaro Bavaro in addition to Rodrigo Bruni, Juan Cappiello, Rodrigo Ecthart, Ignacio Larrague, Luca Magnasco, Juan Cruz Mallía, Santiago Montagner and Javier Díaz. Curiously it was these players who were among the best performers in Los Angeles. In the case of Díaz he is traveling to South Africa with Los Jaguares.
