Rugby fans have had their say. Having been asked by World Rugby on social media to cast in their votes for the best players in Rugby World Cup history per position the final verdict is now out. Players from as few as five different countries made the cut with Argentina’s reputation as being the best in the business up-front apparent as Rodrigo Roncero, Mario Ledesma and Omar Hasan were voted in as the best front-rowers.
The Argentine trio were joined by players four players from each of England and New Zealand and two from South Africa and France. Of those who made the final team Thierry Dusautoir, Richie McCaw, Victor Matfield, Ma’a Nonu and Conrad Smith are set to play in the upcoming World Cup in England and Wales.
