Mike Palefau signs for Seattle Seawolves

The Seattle Seawolves have added dual-international Mike Palefau to their roster for the 2018 Major League Rugby season. A native of Kahuku, Hawaii, the 36-year-old brings considerable experience to the side but remains a potent attacking player noted for his speed who can play wing or fullback.

Palefau’s list of accomplishments includes 11 test caps with the Eagles between 2005 and 2008, and 29 tournaments on the HSBC Sevens Series, his most recent coming at the close of 2013-14 season. He spent two seasons playing professionally in Europe, first with Narbonne in France and then Petrarca in Italy. Most recently Palefau has been playing for the Seattle Saracens in the CDI Premier League.

He joins a speedy Seawolves backs division that already includes three HSBC circuit veterans in Phil Mack, Shalom Suniula, and Mat Turner. Two further Canadian international backs, George Barton and Brock Staller, are also on the roster.
