Round 7 of the Guinness Pro 14 gets underway today. The round has a 3-4 split with Friday having three games and Saturday four. Americas players will take to the field on both days, with Saturday being the one to mark down to follow Americas talent.
On Friday there is to be one Americas representative. Named on the bench for the Glasgow Warriors is Eagles second-rower Greg Peterson. The Scottish side have home advantage against the Southern Kings.
All four Saturday matches are to feature Americas players. In Treviso Benetton play host to Scottish side, Edinburgh. New recruit Juan Ignacio Brex again starts for the Italians, playing at outside center.
Across in Parma Zebre welcome the Cheetahs. The Italian side have named two Argentine players for the match. Eduardo Bello continues to get regular game time. The Argentina XV front-rower will start at tighthead prop. Named on the bench is the uncapped Serafin Bordoli. The Argentina player is eligible to play for Italy via World Rugby’s eligibility laws.
The remaining two matches are to take place in the U.K. In Northern Ireland the USA eligible Callum Black starts at Loose Head prop. He does so for Ulster who have home advantage against Leinster in an Irish provincial derby.
In West Wales the Scarlets host the Cardiff Blues. Starting on the left wing will be Blaine Scully. Both he and Peterson have been named in the USA Eagles roster to face Germany and Georgia in the upcoming November Internationals.
