Colombia Women’s Sevens defeat Samoa in Ireland

Colombia’s Women finished 10th at an international Sevens event which took place this weekend in Ireland. The South Americans played matches against opposition from Africa, Europe, Oceania and Asia for the first time in history and completed a win against Samoa.

Colombia also had matches against Holland, China and Kenya but was unsuccessful in winning. The tournament was qualification for the Women’s World Series Rugby Sevens Circuit.

Although failing to secure a place on the World Circuit Las Tucanes are confirmed to compete at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
