Chile make changes for Namibia

In search of their first win at the World Rugby u20 Trophy in Montevideo, Chile have opted for five changes from the team that fell to Japan in the opening round. Saturday’s match against Namibia will be pivotal in terms of the pool after the African nation defeated Canada in their first match on Tuesday.

Four of the alternations come in the pack. Augusto Böhme swaps shirts with Benjamín Jeria to start at hooker, and Javier Meneses is in at lock in place of Nicolás Garafulic. Captain Alfonso Escobar switches to No 8 and there are new flankers in Benjamín Soto Besamat and Vicente Contreras. Vicente Huete and Clemente Saavedra remain in the match day squad but as replacements.

The backs are kept intact with the exception of Lucca Avelli starting at outside centre. Santiago Gana shifts to the left wing with Rodrigo Gajardo the match to drop out. Pedro Sotomayor is named on the bench as a midfield reserve.

Kickoff is set for noon local time, 11am Eastern. A live stream will be provided by World Rugby.
