USA Rugby has selected a 26-strong Women’s Junior All-Americans squad to compete for the Can-Am Cup in a two-game series against Canada u20. The games will take place on August 19 and 22 at Central Washington University. Canada are defending cup champions and has defeated the All-Americans in each of their last four meetings since 2013.
The team will be led by interim head coach Will Snape, aided by assistants Kate Daley and Kittery Wagner. Players were identified during a recently completed selection camp at the University of Northern Colorado as well as the National All-Star Competition at James Madison University in early June.
Of the 26 included, 12 were part of last year’s tour to Ontario. Three players – Joie Krahling, Kat Ramage, and Asinate Serevi – participated in the Emirates Club 7s National Championship in Des Moines, Iowa, this past weekend.
