Tetaz Chaparro Set for Comeback vs Chile

Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro is set to make his comeback vs Chile. The Tight Head prop has been out injured since October. His return is to be next Saturday in a Sudamérica Rugby Cup match in Santiago.

Head Coach Felipe Contepomi has named a 26-man roster. It contains Tetaz Chaparro in addition to other Jaguares players. They include second-rowers Juan Cruz Guillemaín and Ignacio Larrague, wingers Emiliano Boffelli and Manuel Montero, scrum-half Felipe Ezcurra, fly half Joaquín Díaz Bonilla and hooker Roberto Tejerizo.

Tetaz Chaparro is one of five props selected for the fixture. Of them three are Tight Head specialists and one is a Loose Head. This implies that the 2016 policy of fielding Tetaz Chaparro at Loose Head is to continue in 2017.

The roster is to begin training in  Buenos Aires on Monday. On Thursday the team will depart for Chile. It is to be the first of two matches for the Sudamérica Rugby Cup. The second will be against Uruguay later in the year.

It is to be the second time the teams meet this year. The prior fixture saw the Argentina XV winning 45-10 in the Americas Rugby Championship in Talcahuna.
