Paraguay name squad for Uruguay match

Paraguay have named their match day 23 for the World Cup Qualifier match against Uruguay on Saturday. Included are several players who participated in the 2016 South American ‘A’ Championship, among them mobile prop Alvaro Rojas, second row and captain Andrés Nasser, and powerful loose forward Leonardo Glizt. Promising youngster Horacio Agüero will look to display his skills refined while in France for a season with Saint-Yrieix in Fédérale 3.

Los Yakarés have never beaten Los Teros in test rugby, their best result a 9-all draw in 1985 at Asunción. The Paraguayan capital will also play host to Saturday’s match at the Estadio Héroes de Curupaytí. Paraguay have been heavily outgunned in recent years against Uruguay, their most recent meeting a 60-15 defeat on April 30 of last year.
