Part Time Jaguares Join Argentina XV Roster

Part time Jaguares players have joined the Argentina XV roster today. The Argentina XV is preparing for upcoming international competition. The team will play in the Sudamérica Rugby Cup and the World Rugby Nations Cup in Montevideo.

Today marks the start of the final stage of preparation for the tournament. Coaches Felipe Contepomi, Ignacio Fernández Lobbe and Diego Ternavasio have named a 26-man roster. Having been added to train today are Cristian Bartoloni, Joaquín Díaz Bonilla, Juan Manuel Lescano and Santiago Portillo.

Of the new additions three have been with Los Jaguares and Díaz Bonilla played an important role in setting up Matías Moroni for the match-sealing try this past Saturday.

The first fixture for the team will be away to Chile. The Argentina XV will travel across the Andes to face Los Cóndores on June 03. The second Argentina XV match of the Sudamérica Rugby  Cup will not be played until October. It is to be an away match against Uruguay in Montevideo.

In June the Argentina XV is to play three matches in the World Rugby Nations Cup. First up will be Russia on June 10. From there the Argentina XV will play Spain on June 14 and Emerging Italy on June 18.

With the team being Argentina’s ‘A’ side none of the matches are capped. World Rankings and Americas Rankings are also not up for grabs for this very reason.
