Carrasco Polo Win Torneo del Interior B

Uruguayan club, Carrasco Polo made history on Saturday, winning Argentina’s Torneo del Interior B. The Montevideo club downed the Universitario de Córdoba 25-19, doing so with Jaguar Nicolás Freitas playing.

The Uruguayan side delivered a solid 80 minute performance. Based on solid defensive and delivering at the right time, Carrasco Polo ultimately came out on top.

The first half saw Carrasco Polo leading 15-13 at the interval. What had been a ferocious first half opened up in the second with substitutions giving the Uruguayan club the upper hand. A strong scrum lay the groundwork for victory.

The win is a double celebration for Carrasco Polo. The club is not only Torneo del Interior B champion but the club will also play in the 2018 Torneo del Interior A. This will see another Uruguayan club taking the place of Carrasco Polo in the Torneo del Interior B.
