Top 14: Americas Players Off Contract in June 2017

Yesterday’s announcement that Stade Français and Racing 92 are to merge has raised questions over who will play for the new super club. Together the teams have some 64 players under contracts with the number reaching 90 when including wider members.

Social media has seen fans suggestions of what the side would look like. Some have listed Juan Imhoff in the side while others have stated he is off contract in June 2017. This is false as, indeed, Imhoff’s contract signed in 2015 was until June 2018.

Who then are the Americas Top 14 players to be off contract as of June 2017?

There are eleven of them. Canada, Chile and the USA each have one player while Argentina has eight. Of the Argentine players two are confirmed as joining other teams next season. Leandro Cedaro will play for Agen (currently Pro D2) while Facundo Isa is to play for Toulon. Others from the list below may also join rival clubs.

Others players coming off contracts have signed new ones with their existing clubs. This is true of both Rodrigo Capó Ortega and Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe.
