2017 Punta del Este 7’s

Separated into two distinct formats – clubs and countries the 2017 Punta del Este 7’s is to open the New Year with a bang. The two day competition will take place on January 6-7 in Uruguay’s famous Beach resort city.

The tournament is to be a celebration of rugby in not only South America but far wider. Both Canada and the USA join Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Uruguay in competing. Also involved will be the 2016 Olympic Gold Medalists, Fiji.

The club section will see Uruguay’s leading teams compete against Argentine clubs. Involved will be Old Boys, Old Christians, Carrasco Polo and Montevideo Cricket from Uruguay. UER 7, Santa Fé 7, La Tablada, Liceo Naval and Córdoba Athletic from Argentina. Also competing will be the composite side Moby Dick.
