Americas Rankings – December 05 2016

Following the completion of international competition this weekend there have been changes to the Americas Rankings. The updated Americas Rankings – December 05 2016 shows changes for a number of countries.

In the South American C Championship the results have implications for all four. Guatemala’s 34-0 win over Panama sees Guatemala rocketing up the rankings from 38th to 24th position. Panama now occupy 37th position.

Costa Rica’s 53-22 win over El Salvador sees Costa Rica rising and El Salvador falling. Costa Rica gained 1.50 points to rise to 20th in the Americas. For El Salvador the loss makes it second from bottom, ahead of Curaçao.

Brazil’s narrow loss at the hands of Portugal also sees changes. Brazil has slightly fallen to a new ranking of 50.67 points. It is not enough to see Brazil fall outside of the Top 6 in the Americas. The gap, though, between Brazil and Paraguay is very small.

There are to be additional matches on Wednesday in the South American C Rugby Championship. The Americas Rankings will be updated following these fixtures. Guatemala will face El Salvador in one match and Costa Rica will take on Panama in the other. Changes to the rankings of all are expected.
