“Defensive Repositioning to be key” says Uruguay Head Coach

“Defensive Repositioning to be key” says Uruguay Head Coach Esteban Meneses. Three days out from Los Teros’ third and final November International match the South Americans are focusing on regrouping.

Having competed to losses against Germany and Spain Uruguay will complete their tour against Romania in Bucharest. Saturday’s test will be the second between the teams this year.

Looking ahead to Saturday Meneses said: “we have to finish the year in the best way possible. We need to focus well on the game and carrying out of own system of attack that we have put together during our time together.”

“The time has come to take on Romania, a rival that will demand a great deal physically. We will have to run more than ever before and position ourselves to be in the right places as soon as possible. With this we will be able to execute our skills well in contact”.

“The key is going to take place right there, quick repositioning and running to be straight back to the next phase. We have to use the entire width of the field and we must be direct to punish them when on attack.”

“On defense we have to be much more organized to win the dual and the physical battle”.

Match: Romania vs Uruguay
Venue: Estadio Arco del Triunfo, Bucharest
Time: 1pm (Uruguay)
