Launchbury to Miss Argentina Test Through Suspension

Joe Launchbury is to miss England’s home match vs Argentina though suspension. The second-rower was banned for two weeks for kicking an opponent.

Launchbury appeared on Monday in London before an independent disciplinary committee. Having been cited for allegedly kicking an opponent in contravention of Law 10.4 (c) in Saturday’s match against Fiji.

Launchbury pleaded guilty to foul play. With the incident having been deemed worthy of a red card the sanction handed down means he will miss England’s two remaining matches this year.
