Jones names England roster for Argentina

England Head Coach Eddie Jones has named a 33-man roster for the November Internationals. England will play at home against South Africa, Fiji, Argentina, and Australia. All four matches will be played at London’s Twickenham Stadium.

Jones has been forced into making some changes from his strongest possible roster. Missing to injury are Jack Clifford, Luke Cowan-Dickie, James Haskell, Maro Itoje, Sam Jones, George Kruis, Jack Nowell, Manu Tuilagi, Anthony Watson, and Mike Williams.

Without these ten players Jones has called-up six uncapped players. They are tighthead prop Kyle Sinckler (Harlequins), lock Charlie Ewels (Bath), back row Nathan Hughes (Wasps), flyhalf Alex Lozowski (Saracens), midfielder Ben Te’o (Worcester Warriors), and fullback Mike Haley (Sale Sharks).

Hughes and Te’o are the latest players included who moved to England as adults. Neither came through the national system. They are from Fiji and New Zealand respectively. Te’o previously played rugby league for Samoa, while Hughes played for the Fiji Warriors in the 2013 Pacific Rugby Cup.

There is also room for a player from the Americas. St. Lucia native Marland Yarde joins Jonny May and Semesa Rokoduguni as the flyers selected by Jones.
