10 points from Benjamín Urdapilleta contributed to Castres’ 41-7 humiliation of Northampton this afternoon in France.
The former Pumas fly half kicked five goals for the French club who severely outplayed the English side at the Stade Pierre Antoine. The Championship Cup result means only Montpellier has not won in Pool 4. Tomorrow this may change as the Top 14 side hosts Leinster.
Urdapilleta’s points came in the form of three conversions and two penalties. He was joined in the starting lineup by Horacio Agulla. The veteran of Rugby World Cups 2007, 2011 and 2015 officially retired from international duty last October. Urdapilleta has not done so but, like all others, is not eligible while he plays in Europe.
Castres will face Montpellier in round three of the Champions Cup. That fixture will take place on December 11. Castres will host the return fixture seven days later.
