Americas Rankings – October 09 2016

There have been changes to the Americas Rankings following round two of the South American B Championship. The updated Americas Rankings – October 09 2016 sees a rise for Peru.

Argentina remains well out on top in the Americas. The South Americans nonetheless have taken a hit. Saturday’s loss to Australia sees them dropping from 80.93 to 80.31 points. In terms of the World Rankings this means Argentina fall below France and Scotland to 9th.

Peru’s home win over Ecuador sees Los Tumis winning back some rankings points. Losses to Venezuela and Colombia saw Peru free-falling to 17th in the Americas. Saturday’s win sees a slight rise from 36.82 points to 36.95. With it Peru overtake Barbados by the narrowest of margins.

Ecuador’s slight loss of points is not enough to see the country falling in terms of positions. Depending on results in the upcoming South American C Championship this will change.

Colombia’s South American B Championship title sees Los Tucanes increasingly close to Paraguay. Saturday’s win over Venezuela elevates Colombia from 47.09 to 47.81 points. Venezuela drops from 41.86 to 41.14 points. It will not impact on the overall ranking position.
