Sánchez, Montero Ruled out for Pumas

Nicolás Sánchez and Manuel Montero have been ruled out for Los Pumas. Both players have failed fitness tests and will miss Saturday’s international against Australia in London, England.

The loss of Sánchez sees Santiago González Iglesias moving from inside center to fly half. He had been playing in the mid-field as cover for the injured Juan Martín Hernández. Now he will play 10, starting for the first time ever in the position outside of the South American Championship.

The inside center slot has been given to Jerónimo de la Fuente. The Rosario center will play his first match of the 2016 Rugby Championship. He started in the position in the 2015 win over South Africa.

Coming in for Montero is Ramiro Moyano. He will earn his second start of the Rugby Championship. His inclusion sees Lucas González Amorosino confirmed on the bench. Gabriel Ascárate is the additional player added.
