Head Coach Daniel Hourcade has confirmed Argentina’s lineup for Saturday. Los Pumas will face Australia at the home of English rugby in a final round Rugby Championship match.
El Huevo has named four changes and this number could yet increase. Nicolás Sánchez and Manuel Montero are both listed to start but must pass fitness tests on Friday.
The four confirmed changes are a two-two split between forwards and backs. At loose-head prop Lucas Noguera Paz replaces the injured Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro. The fixture will be his first start of the competition. The same is true of Leonardo Senatore who replaces Facundo Isa who has failed an injury test.
In the backs Matías Moroni moves from outside center to the right wing. He does so in place of Santiago Cordero who is out through injury. Manuel Montero will be the other starting winger, doing so ahead of Ramiro Moyano. Matías Orlando takes over from the vacancy left by Moroni changing positions.
On the bench Santiago García Botta is set to make his Rugby Championship debut. The former Stade Français prop missed out on earlier rounds due to injury.
In naming his lineup Hourcade said “We need to wait a little to see the improvements of Nicolás Sánchez and Manuel Montero from their respective injuries.”
