Uncapped Arregui Joins Pumas in London

Uncapped Felipe Arregui has joined Los Pumas in London. Argentina will face Australia in a Rugby Championship match at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday.

Arregui has flown in as a replacement for Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro. Having been named in the roster Tetaz Chaparro was subsequently declared unfit. In his place Daniel Hourcade has used Lucas Noguera Paz in practice this week.

Santiago García Botta was the back-up option to Noguera Paz in training on Monday and Tuesday. Today the team is taking a break and the official announcement will be made tomorrow. Arregui’s inclusion is to bolster the options and provide cover.

His inclusion sees five alterations from the squad that faced New Zealand last Saturday. The new integrants are Felipe Arregui, Facundo Bosch, Santiago García Botta, Marcos Kremer, and Manuel Montero. Bosch, like Arregui, is emergency cover.

Still missing is Juan Martín Hernández. The inside center was confirmed as being ruled out of the remainder of the Rugby Championship. He is expected back to face Japan in Tokyo in November.
