South Africa Change one for Salta Test

South African Head Coach Allister Coetzee has made one change to his starting lineup for Saturday’s test match against Argentina in Salta. New Saracens signing Vincent Kock has been named to start ahead of Julian Redelinghuys who was injured in the first test in Nelspruit this past Saturday.

The three-time capped Koch made his debut against Argentina in Durban last year. It was not a match for him to remember fondly as Marcos Ayerza outplayed him to win a string of penalties from scrums. It saw Koch substituted early and left out of the roster for Rugby World Cup 2015.

In Nelspruit a much improved Koch performed well for his cow try from the bench. Having come on early to replace Redelinghuys, Koch demonstrated impressive technique in the scrum to help his country come out 30-23 winners.

Sharks prop Lourens Adriaanse will fill the vacancy left by Koch on the bench. The only additional alteration sees Stade Français’ Morné Steyn selected ahead of Juan de Jongh as a replacement.

The Springboks are preparing for the match in Buenos Aires. They will fly north to Salta on Friday. The experienced Jérôme Garcès will officiate the match at the Estadio Ernesto Martearena. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:40pm on Saturday.
