Americas Rankings – July 03 2016

There have been changes to the Americas Rankings following international competition this weekend. The updated Americas Rankings – July 03 2016 see Mexico gaining rankings points at the expense of the Cayman Islands.

Before the fixture Mexico had 44.62 points and was 56th in the world. This was a narrow advantage over the Cayman Islands who had 43.46 points and occupied 48th place. In the Americas they were 11th and 12.

Their overall continental positioning remains unchanged. Mexico, though is up to 45.20 points while the Cayman Islands fall to 42.88. In World Rankings terms the Cayman Islands have thereby fallen three places to 61st in the world. Their fall sees rises for Sweden, Luxembourg and Singapore.

Meanwhile Las Serpientes have just managed to overtake Morocco. The updated World Rankings will see Mexico just behind both Croatia and the Cote d’Ivoire. This may change further following additional African matches.

Mexico, meanwhile, are next to take to the field on July 23, doing so against Guyana. The fixture is to be the Rugby Americas North Championship Final. North Zone winners Mexico take on the South Zone winners Guyana. The winner of this will face a South American qualifier.
