Hearn to win 50th against Italy

Ciaran Hearn will win his 50th cap for Canada against Italy on Sunday. The London Irish centre replaces Mozac Samson in the only change to the starting lineup that overwhelmed Russia on Saturday. Hearn will become the 16th player in Canadian test history to reach that mark, nearly eight years after his debut against Ireland in 2008.

Taylor Paris has recovered from a slight knock to retain his spot on the wing, while the bench shows three changes. Paul Ciulini replaces the injured Cam Pierce as reserve lock, and loose forward Matt Heaton is in at the expense of Alistair Clark. Jordan Wilson-Ross misses out despite impressing as a replacement against Russia, with Brock Staller recovering from injury to take his place.

Canada have not beaten Italy since November of 2000, a run of five consecutive losses. Their last meeting was a 23-18 result in Leeds at the 2015 World Cup. The match kicks off at noon Eastern time on Sunday, June 26, at BMO Field in Toronto and will be broadcast live on TSN 5.
