The stellar season of Juan Imhoff had another impressive chapter added to it this past weekend. The Rosario flier ran in two tries for Racing 92 who completed a 40-25 win over European Challenge Cup winners, Montpellier.
As a result of the win Racing 92 were confirmed as finishing the regular season in fourth spot. With it the Parisians are to play host to Toulouse in the barrage play-offs this coming weekend. Montpellier will host Castres in the second barrage fixture with the winners advancing to face Clermont and Toulon in the Semi Finals.
Imhoff’s season has been a long one. It started against Australia on July 25 2015 in the Rugby Championship. The first fixture was not a successful one but the second was as Imhoff became the first, and only, player in history to score a hat-trick against South Africa.
Since then Imhoff has seen Los Pumas into the Semi Finals of a Rugby World Cup and has played in the European Champions Cup for Racing 92. Potential Top 14 glory is now just around the corner as is a place in the 2016 Olympic Games.
