Old Christians Reach Torneo Interior B Semi Finals

In front of a large and vibrant crowd at Montevideo’s Estadio Charrúa Saturday was a special day for Uruguayan rugby. The Old Christians vs Old Boys classic took on a new meaning as the clubs met at the Quarter Finals stage of the Torneo Interior, a part of Argentina’s national club competition.

Old Christians had an afternoon to remember in running-out 25-6 winners. The result sets up a trip to Mendoza to face Los Tordos in a challenging Semi Final at the foot of the Andes.

In other matches Tucumán club Huirapuca overcame CURNE by fifteen points, Córdoba’s Jockey club saw off Liceo RC and Los Tordos defeated San Ignacio in an away match.
